Over at my brother's for a couple of days, so can visit my Deviant family and feed my addiction for this place.

time to say goodbye - for a while

First of all I'd like to wish each and every one of you a very merry Christmas and the happiest of New Years.
But now, due to my health, I'm gonna have to call it quits for a while. I've recently been diagnosed with chateracts, and combined with the damage caused by the stroke, my vision has got so bad that I can no longer handle working on the art. After a couple of minutes my ability to focus leaves me and severe vertigo sets it.
I can get the cateracts removed some time in the next couple of years and then I should be able to start working again. But for now I'm gonna have to find something else to do.
My thanks for all the support and encouragement you have all given me since I joined the Deviant family, and I'm gonna miss you all.
I WILL be back .... Eventually. But for now I've gotto accept my physical limitations and say a fond farewell to all you good people.
Live long and love lots.

It's Life, Jim. But not quite as we know

My thanks for your continued support.
First of all my eternal gratitude for all your kind words and comments over the last few months. And for putting up with the fact that I seldom get the chance to reply to you all.
Just know that you have all helped me to survive and get through a tough year. And that's a gift beyond value, my friends.
Well, I'm in my own place now, and learning to cope with life once again. I'm copnstantly fatigued and find it hard to concentrate on anything for any length of time. But I think myself blessed: the end result of the stroke could have been far worse.
I still haven't been able to get myself webbed up as finances are a little tight and real life has to take precidence. But hopefully next year I'll be back on track again.
I also haven't managed to get much work done. My friends say I've lost my Mojo. God knows where the hell it went: I've looked everywhere, even down the back of the couch and in the pockets of my old jeans. Personally I reckon one of my care workers nicked it when I wasn't looking.
Still, reckon it's there somewhere. Just have to look harder I guess.
I'm staying with my brother for a few days - so have web access once again ... I've missed this place.
Hopefully I'll get a few pieces uploaded in the next few days.

Not Quite back in The World

Once again my deepest gratitude for all your wonderful comments and faves and watches. They always make me feel so much better. I'm out of hospital now and recovering well from the stroke, but at the moment lving in temporary accomodation. Perminant housing will be sorted in two month - can't wait!
Then I can sort out my internet connectyion - and my life.

My thanks for your continued support.
Another brief escape from the hospital. The good news is that the local housing authority has finally admitted liability for my rehousing needs, and I should be able to rejoin the real world within the next month.
The recovery from the stroke is still progressing well beyond my expectations, and my general mood is pretty damned excellent.
My thanks once more for all your suport, comments, faves and deviant watches: these little trips back into the deviant world are as important to me as any therapy.
I'm really looking forward to being able to spend more time in here when I'm back out of hospital for good.
